There are different ways depending on the product required. For personal lines of insurance, such as Travel, Domestic Helper & Home Contents listed under “My Home” and “My Family” we have made this as simple as the click of a button. Using the “Buy Now” tool gives you a premium discount of 15% off the standard premiums. Bringing the cost down sets us apart from the market and is something you will not necessarily receive if you go elsewhere or go direct to the insurers.
For other products such as Health and Life, as well as more specialised business lines, it’s not possible as each application needs to be underwritten by the insurer. We also need to ensure that the coverage and policy conditions align with your needs. To get you started and to give you an indication of how much cover will cost we have provided pricing examples under both Health and Life product pages. That is why we ask you for some details and may even request to speak with you before we can give you a quote.

The HK team has over 80 years of experience in broking and administration support and our head of insurance holds a chartered designation with the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK (United Kingdom)). - Q3 How long does it take to get coverage?
Using our online “Buy Now” tool for Travel, Domestic Helper & Home Contents Insurance will allow you to get insured in a matter of minutes, whether you are on the move via your phone or in front of your computer. For more specialised insurance covers, we typically work to a 24-hour timeline. For tailored Group Medical this will take a little longer as we must conduct a comprehensive study of your employees’ needs as well as understand the employer’s employee benefits strategy. If there is an existing group policy in place, depending on the group’s size, there are other underwriting considerations such as the claims history, which must be factored in.
- Q4 How do you decide which policy is best for me?
Once we have the required information and data, you will receive tailored advice and start to build a relationship with us as your trusted adviser and broker, so you can be confident that what is being recommended really is appropriate for your needs. We have an extensive panel of insurers to choose from, and so based on our experience and your needs you can be rest assured that the information we will provide and the solutions we recommend will be in your best interest and allow you to make informed decisions. For Health insurance, given the turbulent nature of the market in Hong Kong over the last 10 years, it’s even more vital that you receive independent advice and put in place a sustainable solution. When you go directly to the insurer and their agents, this will not happen as they serve the interests of the insurer they work for.
